28-year-old Hackett man crashed his pickup truck through a gate at the Fort Smith airport Wednesday in an effort to reach a parked airplane. Witnesses told police William R. Guthrie said he needed to get to Israel. He would have needed considerable help, however, because the plane was missing its propellers. Guthrie is in Sebastian County Jail facing charges of criminal mischief and trespass. -
