Reported by: KARK 4 News Friday, Apr 10, 2009 @01:30pm CDT The town of Mena bore the brunt of Thursday night's severe weather in Arkansas, but other areas also report storm damage.
Across the state, there were numerous reports of mainly large hail and damaging winds. There was a 65 mph wind gust at Russellville (Pope County), a 62 mph gust at Batesville (Independence County), and a 56 mph gust at Newport (Jackson County). Tennis ball size hail occurred at Shaw (Saline County), with hen egg size hail at Glen Rose (Hot Spring County). Golfball size hail fell at Benton, Haskell and Sardis (all in Saline County), Mablevale (Pulaski County) and Kirby (Pike County). Power lines down: Trees down reports:
