Although the economy is hurting most communities in the country, one Arkansas community is actually thriving right now. Because of the Fayetteville Shale Production, the town of Searcy is protected from the hurting economy

. White county's the only county one hundred percent involved in the Fayetteville Shale Production

"We're having new jobs and new businesses locate here. We're really a booming community right now," Searcy Mayor Belinda Laforce said.

Since the start of the Fayetteville Shale Production in 2006, almost 300 new businesses have come to Searcy.
