Reported by: RNS Thursday, Sep 4, 2008 @08:35am CDT Protest organizers expect big demonstrations for Thursday's finale of the Republican National Convention in St. Paul, Minnesota.
A rally will take place at the state capitol today, after which an anti-war group will march to the Xcel Center. The protesters aim to contrast their anti-war stance with John McCain's speech to delegates tonight. The police presence around the convention will continue to be large as well, with police seen around the area on horseback, bicycles, and rollerblades in addition to extensive foot and air patrols. |
