Covering sports is
the only job Pat Doney has ever wanted.
As a kid in
Huntington Beach, CA, Pat's neighbors regularly listened to his imaginary
broadcasts (often times, without a choice) while he and his brother played
baseball in their front yard. This practice, while annoying most of the
neighborhood, sparked an interest for Pat in sportscasting at a young age.
Many years later,
after working a countless number of "unpaid" hours at any broadcasting
opportunity Liberty University provided, he earned the opportunity of a
lifetime: an internship at KABC in Los Angeles, CA. For two full summers, Pat
learned sports reporting from the best in the business, and still works to
achieve that level of storytelling today.
After stops in
Lynchburg, VA, and Rock Hill, SC, Doney joined the Razorback Nation team as the
Weekend Sports Anchor/Weekday Sports Reporter in July of 2007. He and his wife
Sheleena love Northwest Arkansas and enjoy cooking, working out, and
traveling.
