He has done clinical investigations for major contact lens laboratories under FDA rules and regulations and understands the concepts and procedures for correcting myopia, hyperopia, astigmatism, and presbyopia (bifocals).


    In the mid-1960’s, when Gentle Molding (Orthokeratology ) was in the development stages, Dr. Collins received his Doctor of Optometry degree from Southern College of Optometry. He then entered the military and served as an Optometrist in the United States Air Force. From there he went into private practice in 1969 and has built a state-of-the-art facility.
    In the field of eye care, Dr. Collins is a leader. He has lectured internationally and nationally in over fourteen states. As a professional, he has earned two nationally recognized fellowships. One in the Orthokeratology Academy of America and also in the American Academy of Optometry. In addition he is a member of the American and Arkansas Optometric Associations. Dr. Collins is the founder and C.E.O. of the Exodus Group, a national and international buying, practice management, and consulting group with over 1000 members.
    Today, Dr. Collins enjoys community service with his wife Henny and has an active practice in Jacksonville, Arkansas.
