My name is Mindy Looney. I was born in New Orleans, LA but lived in Nashville, TN and North Little Rock, AR during my school years. I competed in volleyball, basketball and track. I graduated from Mississippi College, Clinton, MS with a B.S. in Computer Science. With over 20 years of accounting experience I have currently worked for Arkansas Teacher Retirement System is an accounting supervisor for the past 5 years. Currently married and living in North Little Rock I have 21 year old twin boys, 19 year old daughter and two stepsons, 25 and 22 years old. When is not working I enjoy playing with my dog Rileigh, watching the Razorbacks, and traveling and exploring our beautiful state. I am really excited about getting into shape and losing weight after struggling for many years with having 30 to 40 pounds that have come and gone several times. Mindy's Workout Cardio - I try and do 45 minutes 5 days a week but I have been averaging 3 days at 45 minutes and 2 days at 30. Day 1 - 15 minutes elliptical, 30 minutes treadmill on interval workout 4.0 work and 2.8 rest. Day 2 - 15 minutes bike, 30 minutes elliptical on interval workout 5.0 work and 2 rest. Day 3 - 30 minutes treadmill on interval workout 4.0 work and 2.8 rest Day 4 - 30 minutes elliptical on interval worout 5 work level and 2 rest level. Day 5 - 15 minutes elliptical, 30 minutes treadmill on interval workout 4.5 work and 2.8 rest. Mindy's Diet Trainer - work out 3 days a week Food log - Day 1 Breakfast - Oatmeal Snack - Banana Lunch - Tuna and Crackers Dinner - Grilled Chicken, Green Beans Snack - Yogurt Day 2 Breakfast - Shredded Wheat, strawberries Lunch - Salad, Low- fat Viniagrette dressing Supper - Chicken, asparagus Snack - Yogurt Day 3 Breakfast - Cream of Wheat Snack - Banana Lunch - Soup, 5 crackers Dinner - Salad with deli sliced ham, low fat viniagrette dressing Mindy's Diary Entry 1 We are three weeks in and so far so good. It hasn't been easy though. The first week was great because I lost the greatest amount of weight. The second week was disappointing because I only lost 1.4 pounds. But the third week I lost 2.2 pounds. If I can keep that up every week I will be very close to my goal. I am really enjoying my workouts with my trainer Matt, it is great having someone encourage you. I will say that I have been extremely sore the first couple of weeks but the third week it has not been as bad. My diet is going good. I am staying at about 1200 calories, some days it is easy but others it has been a struggle. Keeping a journal really helps keep track of exactly the amount of calories eaten. I am looking forward the the 4th week to see what happens. I can't believe that at the end of this week we will have been doing this for one month. |
