    The DRX 9000 has had over 30 patents filed. During a treatment, the DRX 9000 computer tower samples the muscles 17 times a second to check for muscle spasms or twitching. If your muscles spasm or twitch, then the DRX 9000 decreases the amount of decompression accordingly. Also, the DRX 9000 uses specific angles of decompression to treat specific discs. For example: The DRX 9000 is set at varying degrees of decompression for the L1 - L5 discs. This allows it to be very specific in the location of decompression forces applied to the spine. This is how the DRX 9000 can treat patients who have even had failed low back surgery.
