    SonseeahrayTonsal2006-11-28-1164760455.jpgKARK 4 Today co-anchor Sonseeahray Tonsall made her first appearance on a television newscast on the day she came into the world.

    She was the first baby born in the East Bay area of California in 1973, and showed up on the newscasts that day.

    Since then, she's been drawn to the news business. Sonseeahray has also been a reporter and weekend anchor since joining KARK in 2000.

    Sonseeahray is a graduate of Northwestern University. While in college, she interned at the Rockford Register Star, WLS-TV in Chicago and at the Jerry Springer Show.

    Her first job in news was working as the Higher Education reporter for the St. Cloud Times in Minnesota. Sonseeahray left the newspaper to work for WOAY-TV in West Virginia, spending more than five years working her way up from a one-man band reporter, to weekend reporter, to weekend anchor/producer, to morning/noon anchor/producer and finally the six and ten anchor/producer/assistant news director.

    Sonseeahray has family ties to Arkansas: her grandmother was born in Malvern    .
