Benton residents will head to the polls Tuesday to vote on a proposed half-cent sales tax.
The estimated $2.4 million dollars a year would fund a new joint police and fire station, remodel a current station, and provide money to hire new officers and firefighters.
Opponents say now is not the time for a new tax. -
