    Reported by: KARK 4 News

    Thursday, Oct 29, 2009 @08:50pm CDT

The National Weather Service has confirmed that a tornado was reported at East Camden in Ouachita County this afternoon, shortly before 3:45.

Damage reports include downed trees and that Highway 278/274 is impassable.

There are a number of other storm reports from South Arkansas. See Arkansas storm damage pictures below.

Power was out to thousands of homes (as of 6:00) in South Arkansas. Click here for the latest Entergy outage information.

    Calhoun County:
At the Killingsworth Trailer Park, 10 to 12 mobile homes reported destroyed.

Officials say the park is located in a wooded area and a storm cut a path straight through the neighborhood.

Cars blown around and trees down at Fire Academy in Calhoun County. No injuries reported.

    Ouachita County
Trees blown down and some property damage reported at Frenchport (3:25 p.m.).

Trees down at SAU Tech in Camden. Also according to a local radio station, the Highland Industrial Office in East Camden (next to SAU Tech) has also been hit.

Highways 8, 9 and 128 were still passable early Thursday evening but water over roads was a concern they would become impassable.

Farther east in the Farindale community near Highway 167, there are more power outages.

Trees down on Highway 67 and also in Louann near the junction of Highways 7 and 376.

Henry Primm with the Ouachita County Office of Emergency Management says the sheriff is confirming a tornado moved through Louann and into Frenchport. Emergency crews are checking on reports that one person is trapped in either a car or home. Otherwise, no injuries are reported.

Power lines blown down along Highway 7 just north of the Union County line.

    Union County:

Also in South Arkansas, trees are reported down this afternoon in Union County as severe weather moves through the area.

The Arkansas State Police tells KARK 4 that the storm damage is located along Highway 82 between the town of Marysville and the El Dorado airport after a storm moved through the area shortly before 3:00.

Trees and power lines down at intersection of Highway 57 and Highway 82 one mile southeast of El Dorado shortly before 3:00.

Several chicken houses reported damaged 8 miles west of El Dorado just after 3:00.

Trees blown down 5 miles west of Smackover shortly after 3:00.

There is an unconfirmed report of a tornado on the ground in the Lisbon community. Residents report spotting the twister on the ground around 3:15 this afternoon.

They say it picked up trees and roads were blocked by debris. Crews were on the scene with chainsaws. In one 500-yard stretch at least a half-dozen homes were reported to have trees on them. No injuries were reported.

    Dallas County:
In the town of Ramsey (in the center of county), there are many trees down, some that are reported twisted. There is also a barn with it's roof gone.

On Highway 8 near Ramsey there is water over the road and trees down from winds.

    Grant County:
Trees and power lines knocked down in Prague along Highway 270 shortly after 5:00.
