    Methamphetamine is very addictive and is a stimulant that affects the CNS (central nervous system). It is made world-wide in laboratories where its production puts the health of the people in the labs at risk as well as their neighbors and the environment. It is an odorless, white powder that can easily dissolve in liquids such as water or alcohol. Meth can be made from easily accessible ingredients such as drain cleaner, battery acid, and antifreeze. Methamphetamine can be taken orally, snorted, smoked, or injected. When abused, methamphetamine can cause serious damage your teen's health.


    Adverse effects of Methamphetamine include:
    *loss of appetite
    *changes in sleeping patterns (increased wakefulness)
    *extreme weight loss
    *increased respiration
    *elevated heart rate
    *heartbeat becomes irregular
    *elevated blood pressure
    *severe dental damage
    *confusion
    *anxiety
