Reported by: RNS Newsroom Solutions Tuesday, Apr 21, 2009 @08:45am CDT Plastic shopping bags are getting a makeover. Today, the companies that manufacture most of the plastic bags used by major U.S. retailers will announce the bags will be made from 40-percent recycled content by 2015. Not everyone is impressed. According to "USA Today," Kathleen Rogers, president of Earth Day Network, characterizes the announcement as "annoying" and "transparent." |
