The Arkansas Legislative Session of 2013 has been a busy one passing various bills from abortion to now voter id. The voter id bill was passed by the Senate and how heads to Governor Mike Beebe's desk where he will have the option to veto the bill. We posted the question on our Facebook page and this is what some of our viewers had to say:

Brad cossey said "doesn't matter. They'll still elect the same crooked democrats and republicans to further ruin this country/state."

Rebekah wolf said "id rather see them pass this than the smoking ban!"

Ronald knox said "it's about time!

Lisa martinez said "it should be mandatory in every state! It should be mandatory to prove your a citizen to receive any of america's benefits"

Cara haynie said "i think it's great. There was too much cheating the last two presidential elections."

Chris weaver said" seeing that the actual rate of voter fraud is less than one thousandth of one percent of the total vote, it really is a minor problem"

Christy reyna said "thumbs down!!!!!"

Michael johnson said "voter fraud is fantastically rare. Why not make bills to bring jobs to arkansas?"

Comments

I have to show an ID to cash a check -- so why not show an ID in order to vote. I agree that voter fraud is rare -- but that is the key word "rare". It still happens.
