Ever since the Christmas day storm employees at Little Rock's Landfill have been collecting truck loads of trees.

"A little over a hundred tons a day," said Lori Wilcox who supervises the landfill's scale.

And now, the city is getting some outside help.

Contractors from Georgia-based Ceres environmental have brought in the big guns, in this case trucks.

"That's the biggest one we got," said Pat Lombardo the project's manager.

They will be making Little Rock their home for the next approximately six to eight weeks.

"Seems like a nice place," said Lombardo.

Beginning work when most are wrapping up their week. Before noon Friday they'd already collected 70 tons of debris.

"And just in three loads," said Wilcox.

Picking up loads from two drop off debris locations at interstate and reservoir parks, nd right off your curb, seven days a week.

"We're gonna knock it out," she added.

"We're hoping to do 150 to 200 tons a day or more," said Lombardo.

Getting the city back to its pre-storm beauty won't happen overnight.

"I know it's taken a long time it seems like everyone," said Wilcox. "Be patient, be flexible... We're doing the best we can."

All that debris is being turned into mulch you can buy for $10 per load.
