7th Grader Wins Spelling Bee

A Little Rock girl has won a local spelling bee.

Lisa Academy 7th grader Chythanya Murali beat out 57 other contestants to take home first place.

Sebaceous was the winning word for Murali.

Murali won an all-expense paid trip to Washington DC for the Scripps National Spelling Bee.

She also took home a Kindle Fire, among other prizes.
