So far the group's Facebook event page has received more than 1,000 Arkansans who say they'll be participating in the protest at the state capitol.
The event's key contentions are with Senator Jason Rapert's 12-week abortion bill, Rep. Andy Mayberry's 20-week abortion bill and other bills affecting women's reproductive rights and access to places like Planned Parenthood.
Those who have helped organize the rally say they're concerned because they believe these bills are unconstitutional, a waste of taxpayer money to defend if challenged in court, and a pattern of government interfering in women's private decisions.
"The systematic reduction of options for women, the systematic lack of respect being shown for the decisions women need to make to live their lives and for their health. Yes. That's a war on women," says event co-organizer Ali Taylor.
Taylor believes education, the economy and infrastructure issues would be time better spent for legislative discussion.
The rally is scheduled for 3:00 Saturday afternoon at the capitol steps.
