NORTH LITTLE ROCK, AR - The Arkansas Highway & Transportation Department (AHTD) says the Young Road overpass will NOT be reopened by tonight.
The AHTD says crews will return to work on Saturday in hopes of getting it back in service.
Update (3:15 p.m.):
NORTH LITTLE ROCK, AR - Arkansas Highway & Transportation Department (AHTD) crews will work tonight to try to get the Young Road overpass open on I-40 in North Little Rock.
Their focus has been the column that supports the bridge to see if it needs to be replaced or not after Thursday's deadly truck crash and fire there.
AHTD officials said as of around three o'clock Friday afternoon, they were still installing hydraulic jacks to support it for now.
Once those jacks are in place they will reopen the overpass.
There will be a weight limit of 20 tons, which allows for everything but semis.

NORTH LITTLE ROCK, AR - Officials with the Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) say it's unclear when it will reopen the Young Road overpass on Interstate 40 in North Little Rock.
AHTD crews continue to analyze and repair the damage from Thursday's deadly tractor-trailer accident there.
The AHTD workers are installing hydraulic jacks to stabilize the overpass for future traffic use.
While traffic is running normally along the interstate, a barrier wall has been installed along the shoulder of the westbound lane under the overpass.
Drivers are warned to be extra careful when approaching and traveling through all highway work zones.
