Friends, family and fans gathered in Nashville, Tenn. on Wednesday to honor late country singer Mindy McCready.

The memorial was held at a downtown cathedral and was open to the public, with several country artists scheduled to sing.

The event takes place nearly a month after McCready was found dead in her Heber Springs home, where she committed suicide.

The Nashville memorial was organized by her friends in the country music community.
