UALR Women's Basketball Junior Taylor Ford Named Second Team All-Sun Belt Conference

NEW ORLEANS, LA - UALR women's basketball junior guard Taylor Ford has been named Second Team All-SBC in a vote by the conference coaches and media members.

For the season, Ford finished second on the team in both points (9.9) and rebounds (5.6) per game. She is also second in the conference and 87th in the country with 4.3 assists per game.

During UALR's current 11-game winning streak, Ford is leading the team with 13.0 points and is second with 6.8 boards per game. She has recorded nine double-digit scoring games during the streak, including her first career double-double with career highs in points (20) and rebounds (10) at FIU on Feb. 21.

With the win over Arkansas State Saturday (March 2), UALR claimed its sixth-consecutive outright Sun Belt West Division Title. The Trojans have also won 20 games for the seventh-consecutive year and are one of only 16-of-343 teams in NCAA Division I women's basketball to have achieved this feat.

UALR returns to action Satuday (March 9) in the quarterfinals of the Sun Belt Conference Tournament at 2:30 p.m. The Trojans will take on the winner of Friday's match-up between Troy and South Alabama.
