LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- The Little Rock Marathon is this weekend and organizers need lots of volunteers to help out.

The theme this year is "LUCKY IN LITTLE ROCK" (think horseshoes, rhinestones, western wear, denim, diamondsand lots of fun!)

Every race is SOLD OUT except for the 5K on Saturday.

Marathon officials say it takes more than three-thousand volunteers to handle different aspects of the race and many are still desperately needed in the following areas:

ALL EXPO Shifts on Friday, March 1
Shift #1 - 9:00 am - 1:00 pm
Shift #2 - 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Shift #3 - 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm.

ALL EXPO Shifts on Saturday, March 2
Shift #4 - 8:00 am - 12:00 pm
Shift #5 - 11:00 am - 3:00 pm
Shift #6 - 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Directional Personnel on Sunday, March 3
Various times and locations throughout the race course (and you even get a big foam finger to help "point" the way)

Finish Line on Sunday, March 3
Must be able to stay the entire shift 7:00 am - 3:00 pm (lunch provided)

Titus Trail Treats on Sunday, March 3
Hand out treats, snacks (when you want it the most at Mile 25) on Titus Trail. Needs to be a group of 10 volunteers.

Marathon organizers say it's always merrier with more - so invite your friends, your family, your fellow church members and the person behind you in line at the grocery store - to volunteer with you! If you know a student who needs community service hours, tell them too!
