Police begin search for a killer after the release of new information in the death of a Fort Smith woman.

According to investigators, 50-year-old Sakounsouk Vilayhong's husband found her dead at their home on Jaunary 24.

Police said Vilayhong had spent most of the day at a local casino and believed the death was "suspicious."

Information released from the medical examiner Friday stated the cause of death was strangulation.

The department is awaiting notification from the Arkansas State Crime Lab for the presence of DNA evidence obtained from Ms. Vilayhong's body.

Officers said there are no suspects or persons of interest, so if you have any information call the Fort Smith Police Department at (479) 709-5100 or dial 78-CRIME.
