The $2.6 million project started in the summer of 2011, and they hope to have it finished this spring.
But it's taken a bit longer as the construction company at times has had to stop work entirely to move on to other priorities in the state.
The crews have moved through the city, paving nearly 50 miles of roads one street at a time.
The city says they appreciate patience as it's been a long, and at times frustrating process, paving every city street.
"We have a lot of good residents, and probably one of the best things we could do for everybody would be to put a new street in front of their homes," says Sheridan Mayor Joe Wise. "Aesthetically it makes the whole town look better, as well as repair and maintenance on your vehicles is less."
After they complete Opportunity Drive on Thursday, the crews plan to move on to one of their last areas around the downtown square.
