Students at Carver Magnet School in Little Rock teamed up with the 61st squadron, at the Little Rock Air Force base in Jacksonville.

Students at Carver made valentines and letters for the airmen deployed from the 61st squadron in Afghanistan.

Students got up and read the letters to some of the airmen and then dropped them in a box that will be delivered to them.

" I made a card because I wanted to thank them for protecting me," said Jackson Dudley, 2nd grader.

Students waved flags as the servicemen left.

This relationship will continue with the students skyping in class with airmen, while they are deployed as well.
