An anti-military page manipulated a picture of Munford Marine Corporal Christian Brown, The page was called, "Soldiers are Murderous Rapists & They Deserve to Die."
Two photos of Brown showed up on Sunday, one with him in Afghanistan with the American flag, the other at a medical center learning to walk again. The photo mocks Brown for his dedication to America even after the attack in Afghanistan that nearly took his life.
On Wednesday, Brown, who's still receiving treatment in Maryland, told us the page was extremely hurtful. "It does get hard," he says, "It's hard enough dealing with all the extra challenges I have already, much less someone trying to cut me down in the process."
Family and friends say they tried for days to get the photo removed.
"It was a difficult situation to get around, and luckily when you guys took control of it, it went away," said Lyn Braden-Reed, the marine's mother. "Hopefully it won't happen in the future and for goodness sakes I hope it never happens to anybody else either."
The photos were taken from Brown's Facebook support page. His mother discussed the idea of making the page private to keep this kind of thing from happening, but she says that defeats the whole purpose of a support page.
