Name That Baby Penguin! Little Rock Zoo Announces Contest

The naming competition for the South African penguin is underway through February 1st.
Submission forms are available online (click here). The forms can also be picked up during the World Penguin Day celebration on Sunday, or at the Safari Trader Gift Shop.
All entries must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. on February 1st.
The penguin keeper staff will select three names from the entries that meet the criteria below and then put the top contenders on Facebook for the public to decide.
The public will then choose their favorite in online voting that ends at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 9th.
Submission guidelines for the contest:
- The name must be for a male.
- Entry must be ocean-themed.
- Entry must be family-friendly.
- If the entry is in another language, entry must include what language the word comes from; the meaning of the word, if known; or the location, if names are taken from a geographic area.
The photo below above shows the baby penguin two days after hatching, and the photo below shows him at three weeks old.
