The same storm system that brought heavy snow to Arkansas on Christmas Day also hit Alabama with severe weather.

The city of Mobile is recovering from a tornado produced by that system.

One ASU player, in town for the GoDaddy.com Bowl, is a native of Mobile, and was at home when the twister struck.

Junior Receiver Carlos McCants says he is glad for the opportunity to return with his team to his hometown.

He has been able to share his experience, and reach out to neighbors and family during the recovery process.
