Entergy: Didn't Expect This Much Snow During Winter Storm

During the news conference, Entergy Arkansas president Hugh McDonald largely reiterated information previously passed onto the media. Not much new information was given regarding when power would be restored. You can view the latest plan for power restoration here.
McDonald said the the forecasts Entergy received prior to the storm didn't predict this much snowfall in Little Rock. He said the company brought in just 100 workers prior to the storm.
When asked whether Entergy failed in any specific areas in regarding to the overall number of outages, McDonald said something like this has to be expected with a winter storm of this magnitude.
McDonald also said he feels the company is providing good information about the restoration process to customers.
Entergy expects to have just under 5,000 people working to restore power. 4,000 are currently on the ground in Central Arkansas. 2,700 of those workers are actually lineman while the rest are support employees.
The company has also reworked its website to make it easier for customers to track outages.
Entergy says it's currently done 75-percent of the winter storm damage assessment. The company hopes to be at 100-percent by the end of the day.
