Update: Death Ruled "Natural" for Man Pushed from Wheelchair in Little Rock

Update (December 18):
A man reported to have been pushed from a wheelchair and then stomped on last week died on Sunday from natural causes.

That's according to the Little Rock Police Department (LRPD), which says it was determined that Robert Hepp, 51, did not sustain any injuries that would have contributed to his death in the alleged attack.

Hepp had told police Katie Forte, 32, of Little Rock was the person who attacked him, during an argument at her home on Bay Street. Police have not obtained a statement from Forte about what happened.

The LRPD says detectives will continue to investigate and turn the file over to the prosecutor to determine if there is evidence of the crime of Battery to an individual who is defined as incompetent.

Original story (December 10):
Little Rock Police are searching for a woman who reportedly kicked a paraplegic man, causing terminal injuries.

According to the police report, on Saturday, officers responded to Hospice Home Care on Bowman Road, where a woman claimed her paraplegic son had been "stomped" three days before at another home on Bay Street.

The victim, Robert Hepp, 51, told police that Katie Forte, 32, overheard him talking about her, then pushed him out of his wheelchair and kicked him in the face, according to the report.

The report states Forte then stomped on Hepp's lower body from his toes to his mid torso while he was on the ground.

Hepp told police that a witness helped him back into his chair after the incident and he then spent the rest of the time in bed until his mother took him to the hospital.

According to the report, Hepp's mother told police doctors said her son's injuries were terminal because one of his internal organs had ruptured.

The witness told police he didn't see the entire altercation, but did see Forte punching Hepp while he was on the ground, the report states.

Police say Forte is considered a suspect in this case, but has not been located or charged.

I am in a wheelchair, and this is un-called for!!! I once at wal-mart had 3 teenagers kept bully me, hitting at me and saying some cruel things. I didn't do anything but I wish I had turned them in so maybe they would learn their lesson.
