Community Supports Arkadelphia Family After Triple Homicide

Following the murder of a father and his two step-daughters inside their Arkadelphia home, the community is now coming together to help the family left behind.

News of the horrific murder of 40-year-old, Bobby "Chico" Galbraith, 6-year-old Adiele Crutchfield and 4-year-old Marley Crutchfield spread quick through the small town of Arkadelphia.

The community and organizations throughout however have seemed to rally behind the mother, despite initial shock over this happening in their small town.

"It's really caught us by surprise," said Arkadelphia resident, Javier Mendez.

Having only lived in Arkadelphia for five years the Mendez family isn't quite sure what to think of the recent news.

"We're very shocked and confused because we regard this place as a very safe place."

Even more challenging for he and his wife Fernanda:

"We are a little worried how to engage this with the kids."

Because their youngest shared a martial arts class with the the two young girls killed Thursday.

PJ Bonner coaches a MMA and fitness class in Arkadelphia. He had Marley and Adiele in his Titan class for a few months.

"I feel like those were two of my kids," he said. "They were here just Wednesday."

He cancelled classes on Friday after hearing the news but knows at some point they'll have to have class again.

"It's going to be very hard."

The team will move on but not without the memory things the two girls would do to make him smile.

"The first thing Adiele is going to do [every day] is say look how high I can jump."

And even their father, Chino's artwork will live forever on Bonner's leg.

The lasting impact this family has left on the community and Bonner drives them now to support a single mother struggling to move on.

"We want to do what we can to help," Bonner said. "It makes me feel good knowing that the community's out there willing to help."

Bonner has set up a fund to help Anna Galbraith, who found her family along with police inside her home.

Summit Bank and Southern Bancorp are both stepping up to the plate as well taking donations of any amount at their branch locations.
