Leaders Meet to Discuss Options for Sale of Mercy Hospital in Hot Springs

A meeting took place on Friday regarding the possible sale of Catholic-based Mercy Hospital in Hot Springs.

Little Rock Bishop Anthony Taylor met with Charles Thoele, Chair of the Mercy Health Board to talk about reaching out to sell Mercy to another Catholic-based institution rather than Capella Healthcare.

According to a statement, Thoele agreed to bring Bishop Taylor's concerns to the next Mercy Board meeting, which is scheduled to take place in St. Louis on Dec. 13.
