After taking a 14-7 lead early in the fourth quarter, Arkansas completely lost control of the game. Mississippi State scored 38 unanswered points and went on to win 45-14. The defeat sends the Hogs to a 4-7 record, officially eliminating any chance at making a bowl game.
Turnovers continue to haunt the Razorbacks. They committed five of them against the Bulldogs. Tyler Wilson started the game strong, completing 14 of his first 15 passes. In the second half, however, he threw a pair of interceptions. He finished 23-29 for 225 yards with two touchdown passes.
Arkansas also coughed up three fumbles, elevating the season turnover count to 29. Only two teams in the country have lost more.
Offensively, Dennis Johnson carried the load on the ground (15 rush, 88 yards). Through the air, Cobi Hamilton turned in another strong performance (7 catches, 88 yards and his first touchdown since the Rutgers game).
