Arkansas Attorney General Settles with Pharmaceutical Company

Boehringer Ingleheim is accused of illegally marketing Atrovent, Combivent, Micardis and Agrrenox for a variety of illnesses not approved by the Food and Drug Administration.
According to the Attorney General's Office, this caused false claims to be submitted to Medicaid.
Chief Deputy for the Attorney General's Office, Brad Phelps, said this is just the beginning of forcing other pharmaceutical companies to play by the rules.
There are also allegations that the pharmaceutical company, paid kickbacks to health professionals, to prescribe these drugs.
