Conway Man Arrested Following Alleged Daycare Assault

A man accused of shaking a four-year-old autistic boy in a Conway daycare has been arrested.
Conway Police say Lonnie Harris shook the boy at Milestones Day School back in April because the child was throwing rocks. Harris was fired from the daycare because of the incident.
A daycare nurse's evaluation found no apparent injuries, but the boy's mother told police her son became unusually sensitive to being touched on his arms afterward.
The mother added that daycare staff would not allow her to view surveillance video of the incident, after alerting her to the fact her son had been assaulted.
She decided to go to police because she felt the facility was being "secretive" about information, according to the police report.
Harris is facing a charge of harassment and is slated to appear in court in November.
